Fantastic

Replaced sky for this and have been made very happy. however the only problem i have come across is when you have set a recording and you a placed the box on standby and the recording starts you cannot turn the box on you just get a blank TV screen. i have all the latest soft ware for the freesat box and for my plasma TV but it still will not work. The upside the picture is fantastic and yes i will recomend it.

1st let me mention the excellent delivery service next day delivery got text on morning informing delivery would be between 1008am 1108 am arrived 1030am fantastic, no waiting in all day.I researched this product thoroughly before purchase so was confident it would be what I wanted. But even so I was gob smacked. Brilliant product easy to use. Got rid of expired Dvd recorder Sky box plus a load of cables much neater now.

Fantastic!

I purchased this unit after much research and deliberation to replace my panasonic freeview HHD. I wsa instantly impressed with the build qulaity which was far superior to what I had anticpated from website pictures.

It was impossible to see a unit displayed anywhere!. The set up was quick and the SD picture richer than my previous machine. The HD quality it fantastic but what is even better is that the box operates so quietly! After reading complaints about the handset and menu I have to say I disagree. The handset is not like skys so get over it...but, compared to your average TV remote it feels and looks classy. Is easy to operate and the menu system easy to drive. The unit is packed with features over and above the standard sky box, it just requires a bit of patience and button exploring to find your way around. Why sky news and Luxe HD can be downloaded in STD mode yet is missing from the Freesat package remains a complete mystery!Yes I miss certain freeview channels but I can watch these via the TV inbuilt tuner and will have to forgo recoding them.Would I recommend you to purchase one. You bet I would. 10/10 .... Ive had my paanasonic unit since HHD units were first released. I just hope Humax reliability is as good .....???

Humax Foxsat HDR

We live right next to a busy railway line so for years we have had our tv via our telephone line. The service was ok but there was no HD and the recording facility was at best tempramental with several programmes failing to be recorded.I refuse to pay the huge Sky fees for programmes we dont want or would view. This 100 reliable and records one off programmes or the whole series. We currently have lots of films and other weeky programmes and its only using 36 of its recording capacity. Once viewed the programs can be easily and quickly deleted.cant wake to see the World Cup in HD for FREE.Should have made this move a long time ago!
