BRILLIANT unit

Setup was a doddle, user interface is wonderfully simple, and navigation is dead easy. The remote is clean and uncluttered. My only regret is not buying one YEARS ago. There is a VERY gentle hum from the hard drive, but when youre viewing the TV you wont notice it. The EPG updates are quick and one the unit has been on for 1 or 2 minutes then its FULLY updated.Would I recomment this product....ummmmm.YES YES YES, go and buy it.If you want or need HDMI upscaling then go for the 9300.Thanks Human for a GREAT five star product.

I have bought 2 Hitachi PVRs a TVonics freeview reciever in the past year. I was starting to get dispondent as none really work well. Mainly the problems are freezing, jumping breakup of picture or interference. Ive upgraded my aerial, downleads amplification, none have totally solved my problems. Finally 3 weeks ago I bought a Humax 9150t amazingly all the problems I had have gone! Wow I never considered it was down to the quality of the PVR. Obviously it is, the Humax really is an excellent unit. Wish I had discovered them sooner I now want to upgrade all my boxes to Humax wish I could afford too! If your thinking of buying one think no longer this is the right choice.

Purchased one of these in December 08 and it has been brilliant. My old pvr was a single tuner and whilst it was good it would have picture break up in bad weather. Since installing the humax this has not been a problem wether it is the box or coincidence I dont know. Easy to set up and install with some great features edit recorded programmes i.e. cut ads out before committing to another storage device such as DVDr. Good EPG.Fan noise was once an issue when it kicked in but an update several months ago stopped this and it is now very quiet and only kicks in at boot up.Some of the extras in the user guide may never be used but they are there if you want them.depending on channels being recorded you can record 2 different channels whilst watching a 3rd but it all depends what channels you are recording160Gb hdd is adequate ive stored many recorded programmes and never filled more than 75 of driveSome handy features on remote such as skipping forward..you set duration..so it is handy for ad skipping during recorded programme playback. All in all would I recommend this box? DefinitelyWould I have another? Definitely but I would go further up the range next time but thats just meHave I had any serious problems? No none, just a few niggles during the Granada region digital switchover but reinstalling settings and checking for updates have sorted this so far!

I read many reviews of this product all were good. I have to agree, it was simple to install worked perfectly, and is easy to use. I cant fault it for the price, people have mentioned the fan being a little loud, apart from at boot up I cant hear it at all. Well done Humax you have another fan.
Excellent box!!

We purchased this product for our 10 year old son to use in his bedroom and to save on the use of DVDs. All I can say is Brilliant! I connected it up, he set it up and configured it and worked out how to record from it in about 30 mins, all without even having to use the manual. I would recomend Humax to anyone. Easy to use very reliable and just a great product.
